Under the Skill India Mission, MSDE (Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship) aims to establish one state of the art vocational skilling centre in every district of India. All PMKK centres after completion of one year of PMKVY training in approved job roles will become eligible to run paid courses based on availability of additional space in the centres. Courses could be on Personality Development, English Speaking, Tally, Programming Languages etc.
PMKK’s are being allotted to only those organizations that have the capability and credentials to deliver high quality vocational skill programs in line with youth aspirational and market demands.
Empower Pragati has been selected to launch and establish 26 PMKK centres, 12 of which are part of phase 1 of the scheme and balance Phase 3. Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, e-inaugurated three of our PMKK centres during the official launch of this scheme in December 2016 and on June 2017, President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee e-inaugurated 2 other centres. Centres include Districts in the state of UP, Punjab, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Nagaland. Empower Pragati aims to train and provide employment to over 30,000 youth per annum across a wide variety of over 16-20 vocational courses.
Empower Pragati has 10 PMKK centres which are operational in UP and delivering training in the sectors like Agriculture/ Telecom/ Apparel/ Beauty and Wellness/ Electronic and Hardware/ Healthcare/ Logistic/ Retail/ IT/ITes. All the PMKK centres have Smart Class rooms with projectors. Apart from classroom, each centre has Lab for each job role courses addition to it each centres having library facilities.
