Empower at a Glance

Empower Pragati was among the first set of companies to become a funded partner of NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation) in 2010. Our plan to impact thousands of poor youth over the next decades through providing them skills, employment and livelihood is on track. In last 7 years we have trained over 2 lac youth in both the formal and informal sectors. Along with implementing large scale government projects like PMKVY, DDUGKY, NSQF etc. We also help corporates execute their CSR initiatives. We have taken up such projects for companies like Aircel, Pernod Ricard, Interglobe Technologies, Castrol, etc.

We work with the vulnerable youth, women, juvenile delinquents, specially-abled, school/ college drop-outs in both rural and urban India. We believe scale with sustainability is important to make any visible impact on the lives of over a million uneducated/unemployed youth who enter the workforce each year.

We currently operate across most parts of the country and have been selected to set up 12 PMKK across western UP. In another 12 months we would have another 30 PMKK’s operational.

We are passionate about improving all aspects of the vocational skill delivery ecosystem. The most critical being quality of trainers along with mentoring and counselling provided to the youth at every stage of the training delivery cycle. One of our initiatives the PGCVT program was launched much before Trainer Certification by SSC’s became a mandatory requirement of projects like PMKVY.

We started our first skill programs for ‘Domestic Workers’ in Ahmadabad and believe that a lot needs to be done in terms of professionalizing this sector and creating aspiration for this very critical work. With that end in mind we also co-founded the Domestic Workers Sector Skill Council.

‘Abhudaya’ a unique mentoring program for youth has benefited students studying across our centers in Delhi/NCR. This will eventually be expanded across all our centers.

We implement Skill courses across a wide variety of sectors and job roles that are as per SSC mandated QP-NOS norms.

We also design and customise courses as per requirement for difficult sets of participants like for 2 wheeler mechanics (CASTROL) or Customer Relation Executive (AIRCEL). Our in-house team has the capability and expertise to understand the special learning needs and design courses accordingly. We have been developing course content and trainer Manuals in-house. Empower is keen to create and contribute to content development for vocational skill industry.
