CSS for VSHSE Overview:

 

Centrally Sponsored Scheme for Vocationalization of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (CSS for VSHSE) was designed to up-skill the under privileged sector, semi-skilled and un-skilled population for better employability. CSS for VSHSE was launched by Ministry of HRD to integrate employability education into school education under NSQF Framework. The scheme was first launched in Haryana under NVEQF in the year 2012-13 in 40 schools with 4 trades, namely, Retail, IT/ITes, Automotive and Security.

 

Implementing partners:

  • Ministry of Skill Development (MHRD)
  • National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)
  • Sector Skill Council (SSC)
  • Samagra Shiksha (Implementing State authority of the project)
  • NSDC affiliated Vocational Training Partners (VTP)

 

Process of implementation:

  • The Secondary Education Board of the state identifies the schools for introducing vocational studies based on Student strength, Availability of the Industry and Infrastructure available
  • MHRD approves schools, provide sanctions and implement guidelines for the project.
  • Curriculum for the assigned Job Role is designed by PSSCIVE / CBSE based on Qualification Pack (QP) provided by Sector Skill Council (SSC)
  • Expression of Interest (EOI) floated for selection of NSDC affiliated Training partner
  • Vocational Trainers are recruited as per qualification & experience criteria prescribed by PSSCIVE through a panel consisting of SS, VTP and SME
  • Vocational Coordinators are recruited for monitoring the teacher performance and report to state authority
  • VTP and Samagra Shiksha monitors the progress of the scheme.
